Grambling State University and Prairie View A&M University are two historically black universities in the United States.
They have a longstanding football rivalry that dates back to the 1940s known as the State Fair Classic. The game is held during the annual Texas State Fair in Dallas, Texas, and attracts large crowds of fans from both schools.
The Grambling State Tigers have a stronger overall record in the rivalry, with 51 wins compared to Prairie View A&M's 32. However, in recent years, Prairie View A&M has had more success on the field, winning four of the last five matchups.
The two teams compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and their rivalry game is always one of the most highly anticipated events of the season.
